My farewell parties and coming to Helsinki

Well, I wanted to write the first part of this post a long ago. But then, I became too superstitious (what would you expect after being sent to Uzbekistan because of that visa). So, I decided to post everything after I come here :)

And now, since I'm already in Hki, sitting at the desk in my room and typing on my roommate's laptop, I believe it's high time to post :)

At some point I realized (and my parents had done that a couple of months before :) that I had been saying goodbye to my friends and family in Ukraine and the country itself for half a year already. I long time I should say.

But that was definitely wonderful and worth it. So many people coming, writing, calling, wishing the best.

And that made me think abt friendship again. It's strange: generally, I'm an over result-oriented person (I guess those, who've worked with me have already felt that), but I quickly get attached to people. But friendship tends to tansform, ppl get busy, have new work, find new friends, in the end.

The same happens with me. And I even understand this. But still, it hurts. Sometimes you just need to be asked, "Hello, how r u?" instead of doing that yourself. Or maybe I'm over chat-communicative :) Donno

The good thing is that even if you don't want life tends to make everything balanced. With other people coming, writing so nice and kind things.

Anyway, forget :)

So, after saying goodbye to all the nearest and dearest I finally left for Hki.

The flight was great except for one thing: already in my room I found out that they had opened my luggage :( Probably, they were searching for smth illegal and found nothing (as far as I could check nothing was missing). But still. It's so unpleasant to see all your cosmetics around the luggage, lock opened without being nitified :(((

But generally, I was lucky: can you imagine, drying in a minibus (taxi) for abt 10 ppl where all weresupposed to share the price, alone and paying for myself only :) And the driver was such a nice man. He has been living in the same district and also made me a "small excersion". BTW, he told me that my street was named after an famous Finnish opera singer who sang even in Paris

And one more funny thing :) Looks like I was flying with one of Oksa's colleagues. Still need to check, but I'm 96% sure.

My roommate was already at home. She is a very amiable girl from Bulgaria, Aleksandra. Her 2 elder sisters have been living in Finland for 8 years already (in another city). Hope we'll get along well :)

I live in a 3 room apartment. For now, there are 2 of us and one free room which we can also use :) Actually, it shouldn't be like this coz all tenants are supposed to lock the doors before they live, but the latest tenant from the 3rd room forgot to do so. So, now we have one more room ;) (This info was given as an advertisement especially for those who still don't know whether to come to celebrate the New Year here :))

The flat is really nice, even though it's still not very cosy. I've uploaded a couple of pics of my room here.

(Believe me, I don't live in a wood ;))

That's all for now!

Heading for the new stage in my life :)

And welcome to Hki!!!! (I am serious)
